A Kooky Wedding Commission

It was a delight to work on this wedding stationery commission for a couple who were wed at Manobier Castle in Tenby, Wales.

The bride, a make-up artist specialising in special effects and prosthetics, wanted something different and quirky as the focus for the design so I created a design featuring two anatomical hearts, with flowers.

This commission was great for two reasons:

  1. I was pushed out of my creative comfort zone with the painting of anatomy (something I thoroughly enjoyed).  This really is the beauty of commissioned work - it always opens up new creative possibilities.

  2. This was my first collaboration!  I worked with graphic designer Natalia Martin, who is based in Tenerife, to produce the invitations and the labels for the pale ale which were displayed on the day.  To find out more about Natalia's work please check out her Facebook page.
